Pork & Potato Stew

Need an easy family dinner idea? Try making this Pork and Potato stew. It’s simple and tasty and goes well with almost any starch like crusty bread, white rice. The flour thickens the sauce nicely, and the spices give it just the right flavor. Give it a go for a satisfying family meal!


Ingredients

  • 1 Lb Pork Tenderloin, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled & cubed
  • 3 Tbsp chicken flavor instant bouillon
  • 1/4 tsp Seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp thyme leaves
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4-1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups cabbage, thinly sliced

Directions

  • Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat until hot.
  • Add pork and onions; cook until pork is browned. Drain.
  • Add potatoes, carrots, bouillon, seasoning.
  • Add 4 cups water and vinegar; mix well. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a small bowl, combine the remaining ¼ water and flour
  • Beat with wire whisk until well blended.
  • Add flour mixture and cabbage to stew; mix well.
  • Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until stew is thickened, stirring occasionally.
